About this module

Living from a life they've actually authored.

This final module closes the four-year pathway by asking a teen to state, clearly and in their own words, who they are and how they intend to live, drawing on everything built across Foundations, Applied, Practice, and Mastery. A self-authored life is one being actively chosen and narrated by the person living it, continuing to be written well past this module rather than ending here. This capstone marks a genuine beginning, the first chapter written fully in their own voice.

What they'll explore

What this module consolidates.

  • A clear, personal statement of who they are, drawing on all four years of this program.
  • The ability to connect their current sense of self to specific work from each of the four years.
  • A working definition of what living a self-authored life means to them, specifically.
  • A real, chosen next step into the life they've just described.
  • A simple way of recognizing, later on, when life has been authored by circumstance instead of by them, and how to pick the pen back up.

Three lanes of knowing

Understood, practiced, and explored.

Lane 1 · Science

Why self-authorship is a practice, not an endpoint

What's understood about identity development as an ongoing, active process, and why a self-authored life keeps being written rather than being finished.

Lane 2 · Practice

A four-year integration practice

A capstone exercise drawing explicit connections between their current sense of self and specific moments from all four years.

Lane 3 · Meaning-making

Who am I, and how do I intend to live?

A final, personal reflection stating, in their own words, who they are and how they intend to live from here.

Outcome

"I know who I am, and I'm living from it. Four years in, this is only the beginning."
