About this module

Bringing a year of outward offering into one working picture.

This closing module draws together everything Year 3 has built, attention widened toward others, influence exercised without a title, empathy turned into action, a project carried through, disagreement handled well, systems seen clearly, resources managed honestly, and real service offered, into a single, working sense of what it means to contribute. Year 2 ended with a teen who could act with agency for themselves; Year 3 ends with a teen who has practiced turning that agency outward, again and again, toward people and situations beyond their own. That practiced contribution is what opens the door into Year 4, where the focus turns toward living from a fully self-authored sense of who they are.

What they'll explore

What this module consolidates.

  • A clear, personal summary of the ways they've contributed outward across Year 3.
  • The ability to connect each earlier module to a real instance of contribution.
  • A first articulation of their own working definition of what it means to contribute.
  • Readiness to carry that contribution into Year 4, where it becomes part of a fully self-authored identity.
  • A way of noticing, going forward, when contribution has quietly become self-serving again, and how to redirect it.

Three lanes of knowing

Understood, practiced, and explored.

Lane 1 · Science

Why contribution consolidates identity

What's understood about how acting for others tends to clarify and strengthen a person's own sense of identity.

Lane 2 · Practice

A personal contribution inventory

A guided practice for naming, in their own words, the ways they contributed outward across this year.

Lane 3 · Meaning-making

What have I actually offered?

A capstone reflection gathering the year's work into one honest account of their own contribution.

Outcome

"I know what I've built inward, and I've practiced offering it outward. I'm ready to live from all of it."
